Tiny update:

Hello, I just wanted to give my thread a little bump. I haven't had much time to do anything to this car with yet another new job. But here is a quick update. I installed the Hedman headers that we purchased a couple days ago. They're definitely not the same quality that they used to be. They're in, and they will work for this application, but I would definitely recommend looking into a different set if I had to do it over again. The gauge of steel was very thin, and the fit and finish is horrible. Quality aside, I think the exhaust system is going to flow very well. The entire exhaust system is going to be 2 1/2 inches in diameter from start to finish with the an Integrated X-pipe and two bullet cats to appease our wonderful state and federal governments. The exhaust system is supposed to be stainless from the headers back, but an error was made in ordering and what arrived at the front door was in fact regular steel, instead of stainless pipe. The good news is I have a mid welder, and it's easier to weld what was purchased; the bad news is that I have a mid welder, and the exhaust system would come out much better if I had a TIG welder. I am very interested in learning to TIG weld and am trying to put together about $1k-1500 for a good quality used welder... but I won't be purchasing that till spring. Aside from how the welds look, I am happy with how it came together so far. I tried stitch welding the bead to make it look like tig, but unfortunately it still looks like sloppy mig welds. One section I decided to keep welding, then grinding, and then welding, and then grinding, until it looked like it was one consistent pipe with no welds. This came out nice, however it took well over an hour to do just 1 weld, and I deemed it completely unnecessary. Anyway enough Babble, most of you are not going to read any of this anyway, so I'll just post the picture.
