Good update. Did you find another miniram yet?

We found a solution to our current Miniram dilemma.

I am the play it safe, play it by the book guy. If there is a procedure to follow I try and follow it. My father is the "fabricator." So we re-evaluated the intake. The cylinder heads that are on the motor are the original L98 heads that have been ported to death. After doing a little measuring we found the new port size was only .10 smaller in circumference than the miniram (.05 on each side); and a 1205 gasket seemed to fit like a glove. Spoke to our engine builder first of course. He agreed that in most cases its preferable to have a situation where either both head ports and intake parts are the same size OR head ports are larger than the intake ports. However seeing that the port size difference was so miniscule it would make little or no difference in HP and certainly nothing that could be felt on the street. So with a little machine work to the intake, some measurements, and some silicone that intake was installed.

Before we installed the intake we filled the engine with Joe Gibbs BR. Then I proceeded to spin the oil pump to build pressure; only to realize I forgot to install the oil temp sensor. This lift a nice big puddle of $12 per qt of Break in oil on the garage floor.

I used a little permatex thread sealer on the bolts surrounding water jackets.

Tomorrow the car is supposed to be completed. I will not run because we need to have the PCM tuned, however it should at the very least look like a car.
