Buy a new orifice tube, it's $3.

Offhand I don't recall the oil I used for my conversion, I will have to check. If you are certain the system is leak free, use the r12. It will cool slightly better, but not much. If r134 you use approximately 80% of the fill weight. You need gauges to go by pressure, though. As far as oil capacity, the fsm lists how much to add for each component replaced.

I personally will not tune mine alone. People have said it's easy once you get the hang of it, but it's a steep learning curve. Lots of articles on TGO.
