Subject: Re: Two Newbie Questions About Coolant by bogus on 2013/9/26 23:36:45 I need to throw a monkey wrench into this... I don't run 50/50... you see, water is the best coolant. It transfers heat better than any other liquid. Now, anti-freeze is just that, protects when it gets cold and keeps the various metals from eating each other to bits... however, depending on your climate, you can mix it down... I use 70/30 water to green. When I lived in DE, I ran a 60/40 in the winter, and then thinned it out to 70/30 in the summer... I run 70/30 year round here. just some food for thought. |
