Nonsense. Antiseize on any bolt going into an aluminum head and on your aluminum superram. Gaskets compress and sometimes require 2-3 cycles of tightening. Tighten everything in stages and evenly. I have no leaks with my superram with that method.


hm... I am not a fan of antiseize on any bolt where torque must be maintained - or made.

It changes the torque numbers dramatically. I would rather go in dry.

For example - a bolt that requires 30 ft lb dry will grow to 45+ with antisieze. That screws up all sorts of equations!

Antiseize is super slick shit... and it will throw torque settings off in a big way.

The proper solution is to get bolts that are coated in the right material to keep from reacting to the aluminum. This is how GM overcame the problem in the first place.
