Thanks to all of you for helping! Knowing where to look makes stuff quite simply ...

In fact the wire does belong to the starter. As the oil pan is bigger than stock, I did not see the empty stud.

Today I had some time to work on the car again. I found this pic in the service manual, but no orange wire at the car.

As a few pages forward there is a pic without the orange wire, I decided to ignore it.
