Brakes Update

Subject: Brakes Update
by bogus on 2013/12/30 16:24:58

I finally replaced the brakes on my '92 this paat weekend.

The last setup had Powerslot, slotted rotors using Hawk HP-Plus track pads.

The pads were super aggressive and seriously worn, and the rotors were lunched... I think a good 3 mm on the rotors.

The new brakes are Powerslot - using their "cheap" ceramic pads. So far, not too shabby.

Now I have to figure out why the brake light is coming on...

I also tested my new power bleeder from Harbor Freight....
under $22.00 for appears to be the same tool K&B sells for like $75!!! Works VERY nicely.
