Subject: Re: Power Ant Mast replacement by joeld on 2014/4/3 1:36:43 I finally decided to install this new mast. The ribbon had broken off at the bottom of the mast, so no quick fix. Removed the unit, and I might add it was a PITA! Looked like it might have been changed at some point, there were no plastic rivets holding the halves together. Had screws around the perimeter with a nut on a stud in the middle. While it was apart, I just fed the new ribbon down the tube and into the motor. I then wound the excess into the "cartridge". A little like installing a new rope on a lawn mower. It works fine right now, goes up and goes down. I've still got to put the trim and speaker cover back on, plus the slide track for the cargo shade. Joel |
