Oilfilter Relocation Adaptor - fab a shorter one and get rid of a gasket

Subject: Oilfilter Relocation Adaptor - fab a shorter one and get rid of a gasket

I installed a Canton oil pan resulting in to less space for the oil filter relocation adaptor (Summit kit).

So I decided to fab a shorter one.

It is very important that you install the adaptor before boring and taping the off-axis thread in order to mark its position.

An advantage is, that one gasket is not needed anymore and the gasket which seals to the block is much better than the O-ring which came with the adaptor. I used a seal of an oil-filter. After turning and taping I DIY-anodized it.

Sealed the brass-fittings with Loctite 511:

And finally the installed adaptor ...
