Re: Power Window Automation

I have mine wired to stay on until the doors are locked. And some other fancy custom b.s. that I never use that sounded like a good idea at the time. I wired a "latching relay" to my keyless entry to keep the accessory powered until the door lock ground hits it. In fact I used the 4th button to turn on the accessory circuit remotely.

A timer would be good, especially if the windows were added to it, even without auto-buttons. Stock they are dead with the car off.

But if you want remote windows, then they should always be powered. I can't see any purpose for remote windows within 10 minutes of getting out of the car. Personally I would want it for airing the car out from inside my office on a hot day, or closing it up before rain, etc. And I sure would not want a 2nd remote, I would have to combine it with a keyless remote.

And maybe a down bump button, that will drop both windows an inch with a single touch, would be useful, while you're in there.
