Consider that you're dealing with specific angles AND three dimensions, I tired fabbing solid line with my tubing bender, sharpie, and tape measure Never came out just right and once you bend pipe, you own it, in terms of not being able to redo it. Let's put it this way. The price I got to re-create the stock lines with some modifications was over $250. Not becuase of materials, but time. The steel-flex-steel solution seemed to be the cheapest, easiest thing to do. Like I said, I got that super special grade flex, not your run of the mill SS over ruber, so a lot has to happen for it to go badly. The good news is I have AT LEAST 6 inches of clearance between the fuel line and the exhaust, at the closest point. |
