Cut the styro boards with your paper template. This is more difficult than you might imagine...

After you've cut the paper template outline, tape the paper template to the styro board. Trace the line, and cut the first board, ABOUT 1/4" OUTSIDE OF THE TRACING, FOR 2 REASONS. 1) - The styro will bunch up, in front of even a single edge razor. It will take several passes to cut it, AND IT REQUIRES PATIENCE. I did it by first scoring the paper shell of the styro board, and then cutting progressively deeper, until the cut mark got to the back side of the board.

Once you get the first board cut, do a trial fit CAREFULLY into the glasstop frame. DO NOT PRESS IT ALL THE WAY INTO PLACE, because it will be difficult to remove without mangling it. Once in place (almost), you can get an idea where it will need sanding. I used 40-grit to take it down along the edge. Do not sand too much - you can always take more down later.

Repeat with the second board, again, not taking down too much on the high spots which hit the frame.

Once you're close, glue the 2 boards together. How you accomplish this might vary. Hot glue, Elmer's Glue, etc. I used the same TEC Felt Glue, that I'm using for the felt, since the paper shell of the styro board is porous like the felt.

Once the 2 boards are dried together, repeat the dry-fit into the glasstop frame....
