Once you dry-fit the double-layer styro boards, you can sand down a little more around the edges, to make it fit more easily into the frame. YOU'LL IN FACT NEED TO DO THIS, because the felt wrapped around the edge will need a little real estate of its' own.

Now lay one headliner into the top. Drop in the 2-layer board, and re-check dry-fit. Remember that the wrapped-around felt needs a little more room inside the frame edge.

I'm putting a logo'd felt facing OUT, as well as in, so this part will vary just a little here...

For the top felt, facing out, I cut one headliner within 1/4" of the upper surface of the 2-layer board (the interior headliner will UNDERlap it, and won't be visible from outside).
