There's probably LOTS of room for improvement here; if anyone has ideas on it, lets hear it...

The curing Felt Glue DID make each layer of the styro curl APART (although not to the point that it's un-workable). I think it did this since I used more of the glue to hold the felt TO the 2x layer board, than I used to hold the 2 boards TOGETHER.
