Using credit card is a good idea CC. I thought of it to put one of these headliners ON TOP OF a good OEM headliner, that doesn't sag...

Mine I was able to peel off the foam without removing it from the top. I was afraid it'd just crumble.
Then I very gently scraped off whatever loose glue/fabric pieces were still on it.
Then sprayed 3M adhesive on it, (they have two different strengths).
Then put my new fabric in place, being careful not to stretch or wrinkle it.
Then cut the edges about 3/4" overlapping the roof frame.
Then tucked it all in carefully with an old credit card. There were a few areas that it didn't want to tuck easily, maybe due to factory overglue of the foam or fiberglass. But it all went in, looks great, still 5+ years later.
