Aww you shoulda called. I might have been up for that with enough beers.

I did my ZF a few times solo using the Harbor Freight tranny jack. Worth it even if you use it once, although you have to get the ass end up high on 6 ton stands to roll it in there from the back. The Cbeam was always a fight though no matter how many times. Harder than it was with the 4+3. (I actually ground the top front of the Cbeam down to make it easier to slip on.)

If the bellhousing is loose, but the fork is stopping it from coming completely off, then you need to screw the pivot stud into the bellhousing. If there is a flush looking fastener in there with a small allen head, that is the pivot stud locking bolt. That has to unscrew first. Then, you will see the larger allen head in the pivot bolt, and the bellhousing threads.
