You also cam get a rough idea of where your bias is by "bench testing" the brakes.
We do this on the racecars with dual m/c setups before every event.

Takes 3 people or a spreader bar to push on the brake pedal.
With the car on stands, slowly increase the brake pedal pressure until the front wheels just stop turning (turn the wheels by pulling down from the 3 o'clock position in the direction they turn when going forward).
When the fronts just barely lock up, check the rears, they should turn but it should take a lot of effort.

This will give you an idea on what the bias spring is doing.

It's also a good way to check left to right for equal brake pressure.
