first and foremost, a big THANKS to CC for coming over yesterday and helping with the clutch.

My parts are still in limbo... I need to call the USPS to get a trace on them... not good.

Looks like I need a new pivot ball, too... mine has generated a notch... not good.

after a lot of measuring, it looks like the junk Chinese pressure plate is .040" closer to the flywheel than the Valeo part. That is epic distance inside these clutches, especially when you realize that a new disc is .330" and a used up disc is .215" - .040" becomes a factor...

this extra .040 then pushes the fork back, causing it to be that much outside of its range, and when fully compressed, pushes the fork into the pressure plate.
