The other option we were going to attempt, if hammering a 1/2" hex driver in there didnt work, was to use a 1-1/8" crows foot and a breaker bar. A short extension may be needed, essentially creating a big ass wrench that offsets through the hole to the back side of the bellhousing.

Cutting it off looks doable assuming a cut off wheel will fit in there without hitting any fins.

Andy didn't think using a torch on the magnesium was a wise idea.


And for posterity, we measured my ZR1 pressure plate assembly at .280" thicker than the LT1.
