Possible problem might be the adjustment screws/bolt with the plastic bumper. If I remember correctly there are at least two of these hidden in the bowels of the assembly. One is for the opening travel, the other is for closing travel.
I had one of these fall out of mine years ago and the light assembly would bounce when closed.
