Subject: RE:C5 Brake Upgrade - Still need Brackets by DrEvil on 2008/2/2 21:28:29 The C5 stuff has a better initial bite due to the larger surface area of the pad in contact with the rotor. Droptop, for most people the stock J55 is good enough but even in autox events I could use more brakes. Another plus for the C5 brakes is cost. Rotors are about half price and pads are cheaper and offer more selection. One last point, the J55 calipers also have a knack for spreading apart. The GS calipers are a bit stronger than the standard J55s but the C5 is much better. |
