I posed my question about cause of part deterioration before I learned it was plastic. I'm sure any plastic will become brittle with time, but, now, I'm interested to know if proper coolant maintenance might have prevented the eroded nipples?
Andy, was the coolant changed as required?
Note: I ordered the $8.00 part from RockAuto. At 84, I'm not concerned with longevity.
