Subject: RE:GM Parts price differences. Where is the cheapest place.... by Steve40th on 2008/2/2 4:48:32 Like I posted in the other thread I had in regards to my steering column stuff. Well I got my parts coming. The guy that did this column back in mid 90's has all the parts, and is a good person. Anyways, the part the dealer has is in the mid 300's. Well he sold me that part and the support for 200. I am going to modify the old one by having my machine shop I work at put some super wammy dammy bushing material, so if anything wears it will be the pins, not the housing. They said they can drill out the housing and support, secure the bushing in so the pin is snug, like its suppose to be. So, when this happens I will do a write up with pics etc. The housing and support are just pot metal. So, we'll see. Jeffvette, I am sorry if you are sitll looking, but I found a dealership here that will give just as good prices as Chris May. We shall see |
