RE:ZF6 clutch or transmission failure, CRAP!

UPDATE

Finally got the car up on blocks.

The shifter doesn't feel like it's going into the reverse tree at all. Meaning it's in neutral but won't move over to the right enough to drop down into reverse, almost as if you had the reverse lockout on there, which I don't (Hurst). I recall when I got in the car after all this, I had to force the shifter forward out of reverse (or 6th?). This tells me the shift linkage or rods are some how stuck in reverse. Yet the car rolls as if it's in neutral. I can rotate the rear wheels by hand with the clutch engaged. But she swears she put it in 1st gear after parking it. Maybe without even thinking about it I got in the car that morning, went from 1st to R to back out of the driveway, and something went wrong when going into R.

For the life of me I can't recall how the original reverse lockout worked before I removed it and put the Hurst in. I know it had a steel lever that lifted up, but what allowed/prevented moving the shifter to the right? Anybody got pics? I think I threw my old shifter away.

Here's the report on all the other stuff I checked out:

Pulled clutch slave, parts are all there, linkage feels fine, fork jiggles a little, so the pivot and attachment to the throwout bearing are fine.

Drained fluid, got about 2 qts out (didn't measure exactly). Fluid looks pretty murky/thin. This is synchromesh, so it's only 5w30 to begin with.

Pulled the center console plastic, can't see anything wrong with the shifter from above.
