Subject: Early C4 ABS Parts by hcbph on 2017/9/10 11:41:09 Happens I have an ABS light on solid in my 86 and it's on my list of things to work on this winter. I was doing some work on the car yesterday and figured out it looks to be either the Pump Motor Relay or Solenoid Relay, tapped them both and next time I started the car the light went out. Unfortunately it only worked for a couple of cycles but at least it's a starting point. Here's the interesting thing, apparently the same parts were used in Porsche, Mercedes and BMW's in that time frame. Even though it's impossible to find those listed for C4's, you can find them either new or used listed for those cars if you look for the parts by the number stamped on them. I found the Pump Motor Relay listed for Mercedes and the Solenoid Relay listed for Porsche. Just passing the info along in case someone else is looking for them. Hope it helps. |
