Subject: Re: 1995 rough idle at a stop by bogus on 2017/11/8 0:52:16 I am going to be a little blunt... and it will help in the long run... Corvette's for the most part, are high performance vehicles of their era. I know this doesn't count for all years, but by 1995, a 300hp small block was pretty damned hot. With that said, don't cheap out, dude. Saving 10 minutes and $15 is not the way to keep these things running right. Buy two new O2s and be done... I also recommend, as stated above, a base line tune up. This way, YOU know it's good. Postponing that work can cause loss of performance, and, possibly, damage. Owning any performance car requires a little more diligence than tending to your average Toyota or Chevy... Use Rockauto (discount code over in Corvette Chat) and pick the best quality part... With the current status of the aftermarket parts biz, getting the best quality part will make the car run better, longer. And give better MPG. Rockauto.com allows you save money, but get the best part available. Many times, that part is just not available at Pep Boys, or even NAPA. I have seen people try to care for these cars on the cheap, and the end result isn't pretty... This is the manual... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Chevrole ... :p9wAAOSwUuFWyJDE&vxp=mtr seems to have gone up a bit, but at $50, it's still a deal. It's in PDF form... well worth it, these are rather complex cars and if you are not careful, you can get lost very quickly. This disc will save you that. |
