Subject: Re: Buying a C4 by bogus on 2018/1/27 23:02:07 Use autotrader.com... do not use the Corvette specific site... sadly, the owners seem to think every Corvette is somehow special and highly collectable, and price them accordingly. You have made a good decision on skippin on both the 92 and the 04. At 150k, the rear bearings should not be junk, same with the diff. It makes me think the car has been tracked. Look for signs of rubber up in the nooks and crannies of the rear body work. I got a killer deal on a C6 last year, so they are out there. I have found that condition is more important than anything else. After that, colour and features take priority. Shop condition first and foremost. I went looking for the best Vette deal I could find with a 6spd manual. What I found was a 2006 coupe, in velocity yellow, 6spd, black interior, base coupe... no Z51 or anything. With only 17k original, one owner miles!!! It has a Borla cat back and BBK cold air intake. Sweet ride... all for $23k!!! Don't be afraid to shop distances, too. I used lemonsquad.com to inspect the car for me. They did a great job. |
