Fuel line size question

Subject: Fuel line size question
by CorvetteBob on 2020/4/25 21:57:03

Once again my overthinking mind has led me to another horrible period of Obsession.
My corvette is an ‘89 . As most of us know, it has 3/8” fuel lines. However at several points in the line, especially at the filter, the line has been formed to hold an O ring. This form results in the inside diameter shrinking from 5/16 to less than 1/4”. This is, by percentage, a substantial reduction.
My question, how much engine can this feed? Certainly it’ll work well for a stock, or near stock power output, but My 383 will be putting out nearly 200 more horsepower.
Will, the stock lines with these restrictions feed enough?
Using -6 AN fittings is a good option, but the adapters to my lines once again restrict down to less than 1/4”.
Any ideas?
