Some animal built a nest next to his exhaust and it caught the car on fire. FD determined the cause and the insurance company still took almost 2 months to pay and did the same thing as you mentioned. I have Allstate and I have an additional rider on my policy for the upgrades to the car. They are still making me jump through hoops and send receipts and whatnot. To be honest with you it's frustrating and I'm not happy with the service. They have already made me one lowball settlement offer which I laughed at. I'll get it taken care of but just remember insurance companies are not in the business of paying out claims. |
