I have done this but never started it up like that. Another guess is that you might have set a valve lash on a rocker out of sequence and not on TDC and it could be flopping.... You could be smacking a push rod on your oil pan screen or drip tray, but this would go away little by little. One time I put my Bellhousing cover plate onto the BH and it was hitting the crank and it would make a noise every revolution,, |
