I just came on your thread here, and I'm not sure if this could be the problem, but when I installed my lifters and pushrods, I initially put a ton of assembly lube on the pushrod ends and in the rocker where the pushrod sits.

Then when I primed the oil pump with the primer and drill, I had a few rockers that were not pushing oil through. I had to remove two of them and use a pick to clear the clog of assembly lube then the oil came out ok. I know that the drill wasn't cranking the pump as hard as it would be with the engine running so I'm not sure if this would even matter with a running engine.

Good Luck
