ok, antenna motor replacement help needed

Subject: ok, antenna motor replacement help needed
by freakd on 2006/8/15 15:50:23

seriously, on my 87, the 2 bezel nuts are welded together, it seems, i just can't get them apart!!! any easy way to do this, without hurting the car??? i'm taking the new motor to carlisle on the off chance i could get some help. let me tell you, this is driving mne nuts.
so when i turn the nuts, the whole motor turs, which means the antenna mmast is tight in the bezel nuts. if i unbolt the motor from the frame, and pull down on it, bringing the mast down. will this release enough pressure on the nuts to let them seperate???
any help is much appreciated :thumbright:
