1996 C4, no battery for a month, now no radio?

Subject: 1996 C4, no battery for a month, now no radio?
by Josh on 2008/4/22 22:26:20

I'm working on a 1996 Corvette. I drove it into my garage with the stock radio, tape, and CD player all working great. I pulled the battery out of the car for some engine work that I was doing and let car sit with no battery for about 2 months.

Now, the radio will not turn on. When I turn the volume knob clockwise, nothing happens. I can press the volume button in and the clock will illuminate, but the radio, CD, display, etc... are all dead.

Is there some kind of theft lock on the radio that may have been activated when I let it sit with no battery for so long?

Any other thoughts?
