offset is different than backspacing. It's either a positive or negative number and ALWAYS measured in metric.

Offset is how far the hub face is from the centerline of the rim. Postive is where the hub is pushed out (much like a FWD rim) and negative is where the hub is set back towards the car, think an old school set of reverse mags.

Backspacing is how far the hub is from the rims inside edge.

With all of that said, yours runs the 38mm offset. Or something very close to that. So anything within a MM or 2 will be ok. I suspect any rim you shop for the C4 will be measure in this manner.
