A rather boring honk, but it should be loud and clear.

It should work with key on or off....

Squeaky creaky Wilwood brakes?

Subject: Squeaky creaky Wilwood brakes?
by CentralCoaster on 2008/6/27 17:25:00

My superlites sound like an old rocking chair when I hit the brakes.

This is with the car standing still, if I push hard on the pedal and I hear it creaking, and can feel it in the pedal.

All the caliper bolts are tight. The rotor is non-floating, so it's gotta be the pads or pistons, right? Almost feels as if the pistons are binding up.

There's a bit of sponginess in the pedal, I think they're due for a bleeding. Could this be related?

Maybe these things aren't so street friendly, or they need more maintenance than I give them (none). They didn't do this new.
