(pics added) by cuisinartvette on 2008/9/4 16:32:17 What one has to consider is the cost of: -Cleaned -Maguafluxed -Valve job -Surafaed to make sure they are straight -Seals, springs....Do they need guides, etc? -Using bigger valves? installing seats? Or would one cut corners do a little grinding a quick V.J., $40 set of springs and hold their breath? Might beOk, might not. It can add up in a hurry. Think thats the point of the aftermarket mfrs pieces- no matter what you do they are leagues apart, its not really fair to compare the two. Make the best of what you have or burn the plastic up on new. There will be more getting done on these fwiw. Always fun to see what can be done with stockers. |
