Rear Lower Shock mount |
Subject: Rear Lower Shock mount by LD85 on 2008/8/28 0:25:54 Whne mounting the Coilovers on a C4,,,,I never understood the big deal about the Rear Lower Shock mount on a C4, yes the stud sticking out with the shock load at the end is not ideal but there is no need for FMA and models IMO So,, I decided to go ahead and buy the bracket seen in the picture in the middle pic, the one with the 2-1/4" measurement from the mount face to the hole Center line (CL) The 2-1/4" dimension is what I need to allow clearance between the QA1 coil OD and the knuckle area. They are going to put one single 16mm hole in the mount plate for me instead of the 2 holes seen in the pic. Then all you would do is put a bolt thru the bracket hole and knuckle and you are good to go, On the shock mount bolt, I will buy a shoulder bolt and run it thru the holes so that the threads are not resting on the ID of the thru hole http://rearendkits.com/ [IMG]http://rearendkits.com/images/1654_small.jpg[/IMG] |
