He's in Delaware. Selbyville is a few hours from here, but I never heard of him. The Chesapeake Bay proves to separate us quite a bit from the eastern shore of Maryland and DE.
I haven't really started looking yet, but I have a couple local goons that rebuild them all the time with stock components for cheap. I have thought about asking them to rebuild mine with parts from Petes list. The one guy said he'd do mine for $600 I supply the parts I want. I'm not sure how good he is, except he rebuilds a ton of regular daily driver trannys each and every day. So its not like he doesn't know how they go together.
I'm kind of scared to go to him because I don't know anything about him and he doesn't do any racing applications, just daily drivers for the regular Joe off the street that needs a cheap trans rebuild.
Here's the issue, from what I understand is that if you don't build it RIGHT the same thing will happen. I am researching and hearing stories of trans lasting 3-4 months after a stock rebuild.
The issue is, do you want to do it cheap? Or do it over?
One shop I just talked to said order a TCI from summit and be done with it, they are a good trans, they are $1500.
IDK if that's true, I have to run it past Pete and see what he thinks.
He charges $500 to put it in, so I'm in it for $2K done.
