Get forum member Ron (cuisinartvette) to port your intake and perhaps your heads. Your heads will do what you want but a little more can be had with the AFR 180 eliminators. Not enough to justify the price IMO for what your intended uses of your car are. If I were you I'd keep the stock heads if you are staying with a ported TPI. All depends on your budget. Get the compression ratio up to about 10.5:1 and get the quench area to be about .040. Buy pr0zac's cam, it will give you lots of power and torque and should have beautiful street manners. Put a new roller timing chain on it. Do the 1.6 self aligning roller rockers, can be had used for cheap on camaroz28.com. A stroker would be the way to go if you need a new crank but I'm not sure it would be worth the money for what you are doing if your stock crank is re-usable. Put a 2000 rpm lock-up converter in it if it's an auto, will be worth it's weight in gold on that setup. Put a cheap tranny cooler on it too. Do LT headers and a decent exhaust if you can afford it, that will help the power alot too. Used headers can be found on the forums and a used stock LT1 catback will last forever and will have excellent sound and performance and no resonance for those long trips. That is my budget minded suggested build for you and I think it will leave you with a big grin at the end of the day and some cash to buy a case of beer.
