That's my thinking... but the wiper thing is very interesting.

I haven't had this problem as a regular occurance... it's just now the car has gremlins (the ghosts of AMC's past?) and I am having a tough time finding them.

As an aside, I replaced a wire from the LTCC to the car's harness. This feeds the EST circuit. I, for some reason, don't think it's the cause, but it might be a condition. I need to check the pink wires to the coil. I am wondering if under acceloration that the wires are binding up during engine windup... causing them to pull and or stretch and or disconnect. So I am going to fix that later today.

It makes sense... the only place to put the LTCC on a C4 is in the left headlight bucket. It gets in the way in too many other places, the harness isn't long enough to reach better places, and the unit does not like heat. So it has to be in front of the radiator.
