We took a trip to O'Reilley's and had them test the ICm and it was bad!?! Special ordered a replacement ($105.00 + tax=$113.and change). I bought a new coil also $14.00. It took me about 30 minutes to remove the rivits from the original coil securing it to the plate and installing the new hardware. Said a prayer and she fired up on the second hit of the starter. What a beautiful sound!!!!! Took her out for a little test drive (hehe 22 miles later). She ran like a champ. Now I need to get hold of an OBD 1 sanner that can reset the "Check Engine" light. Sure is nice to have her running again!!! Thanks to all the gurus with their most helpful suggestions and ideas and diagrams. You folks are the greatest..... thanks....Fred |
