Start simple. As was stated, check to make sure you have the simple things. Fuel/Air/Spark.

If you are getting fuel, the plugs will eventually be saturated and you will be able to smell it one them. You can also check pressure at the rail via fuel pressure gauge.

Spark, do as suggested. Just take an old plug, pull the plug boot and lay it on top the intake manifold. And have somebody start the car while you watch, or do it in a dark garage.
