I'm with Jeffvette. Even with a code reader you can it will not give you a definite answer as to what is wrong. Many people start changing out parts chasing codes and spend a lot of unnecessary money. Autone can be a useful place as you're looking checking parts as they can test them for you. If you don't have a service manual get one and follow the trouble shooting list to test for problems with a multimeter. The codes will give you suggestions and a starting point, not necessarily a solution.

That's a good point. If you don't have a FSM, you're screwed. Even a high dollar scanner won't get you the answers if you don't have the diagnosis flow charts.

Yep, a bunch on money down the drain by replacing unnecessary parts. Especially coming from the forums: "It could be", or what came up all the time on the other forum: "I have a miss"------"It's gotta be the Opti"
