I would guess that takes some equipment that you would not have on hand, When I replaced my opti 2 1/2 yrs ago I also did the ICM and coil just as preventative measures. Never had it tested. The factory ICM on ours is riveted to the bracket, but new mounting bolts came with mine. The 'goo' behind it is a heat sink and necessary to keep it from overheating and burning out. Not saying to 'throw parts at it' like I did, just saying the little I actually know about it. |
