Second on the MSD coil, I'm running one with the MSD opti. The price is about the same as a stock one.
If the parts store can't properly check the ICM, you can do it with a mulitmeter but depending on the readings, there's 2 charts to go thru.
P/N for a 92, AC Delco is D1971A, GM 10483131, I'd double check these for a 94.
I'd definately check yours before replacing, they run $130.
Also, if your replacement doesn't include grease, you can sub dielectric grease, it's just a heat conductor.
