Subject: RE:new engine! by PeteK on 2006/12/3 12:55:05 I will be using a "vintage, seasoned" .030 block, Scat cast crank, 5.7 rods and sealed power hyper pistons. Cam is a custom ground comp hydraulic roller. Compression will be about 10.9 to 1 Ran a similar combo in 05 but the block had an internal crack we did not find during the magnaflux process. I burnt the main bearing and blackened the crank on the dyno. Made decent power before it died though. I believe it was 445 hp and 490 ft lbs of torque. Should be a bit more fun than my current 383. I do alot of projects for others, nice to have one going for myself. :thumbright: |
