Subject: Re: Dana 36 Guru's step inside by CentralCoaster on 2009/6/16 23:52:34 If you haven't passed this step already, I'd recommend dimpling/divoting the batwing cover sealing surface. This helps hold the RTV in place. This can be done with a nail or punch and a hammer. My diff had literally no RTV on parts of it, the synthetic fluid washed some of it out and only dirt was keeping the fluid in. Also use "The Right Stuff" and don't use a gasket. If you've already got it bolted together, don't worry about it. |
