Turn the key off & watch the gauge, is it holding pressure? If it's not, it could be the fuel pressure regulator or possibly leaking injectors.

Start the motor & idle, the press should be 3 - 10 lbs lower. if it shuts down again, what is the gage reading?


Thanks! I'm going to meet the tow truck at 9pm, by noon hopefully I'll have the fuel pressure readings..

I did check the oil, just to make sure there was oil, and only oil, in there!! Big relief, just oil!
