Subject: Re: 86 vette switching an auto trans to a manual transmission by Flashman on 2009/7/12 21:26:20 Hi Guys, I have the new flywheel installed, pilot bushing, clutch, pressure plate, bell housing, starter and flywheel cover. I had to cut the circle of the flywheel cover to fit. Its all cleaned and painted. Here are some pics. I cant do anything else until this week.The correct clutch/brake pedals and the rest of my tools will come in and I will start to rebuild the 4+3 overdrive unit. I also had to retap the threads in the bell housing for the slave cylinder. I got bored so I polished my c-beam and driveshaft. It was easy to polish with Malco metal polish.If all goes well I should have the car completed by next weekend. Ha, we will see. Joe Flash |
