Then I bleed it like I would do a brake line... Then after I'm pissed because there's still air in the system, I force the slave piston in by hand slowly, this forces any air up the hose into the master (it will overflow if you've got too much fluid in there.) Then try bleeding again, if it's still not rock hard, repeat. Don't push too hard on the pedal though while the slave is off the car or it can overextend and cause damage. On my ZF, I was able to actually fish the slave cylinder (while connected to the hose) up through the engine compartment, and bleed it all right there underhood. This was by far the best way of getting it done. |
